Blended Ice Coffee On A Budget

The Beanery
Over the past couple of months I have been cutting costs as much as possible. These frozen coffee concoctions start at just under $4 for a small which can really start to add up if you drink them often.
A couple of my favorite places to get blended ice coffee are Atlanta Bread, Etown Coffee Co, and Magic Bubble Tea. Those places all use Big Train products.
Big Train only sells on a wholesale level to businesses, but I recently discovered that you can buy smaller quantities of the powder mixes at a few online retailers, including The Beanery. They have a wide variety of flavors and sizes to choose from.
A small, 1.5 lb pouch only costs $9.99 and makes up to seventeen 8oz drinks. Shipping is $7 and the cost of a big bag of ice is a little less than $2, which brings the total cost up to about $19. If you have your own ice maker then the cost is around $17.
Seventeen 8oz drinks at $4 a pop adds up to $68. Buying the powder mix and making the drinks yourself will save around $50.
If you are tightening up your budget right now, this is a good way to save a few extra dollars without sacrificing anything in taste.
